2013 Recreational Class Competitions
The girls will be competing on either 13th or 14th July this year (depending on age group) with the boys competition being on the afternoon of 14th July. Letters and entry forms will be issued to all recreational class gymnasts from 8th June but competition dates and times are available to view on the reception area noticeboard now. Good luck to all of the gymnasts who take part.
Sponsored burpee challenge
Coming soon... How many burpee's can you do in two minutes? Do you even know what a burpee is? We're hoping our gymnasts will be able to raise £3,000 in sponsorship towards the cost of new biscuit matting to replace the old matting around the p-bars, beams, rings, pommels and mushrooms. All gymnasts will have the opportunity to take part between 1st & 7th June 2013.
Dan Purvis wins Olympic Bronze Medal
Can you believe it! Our very own Dan Purvis has won bronze in the Men’s Olympic Team Final on Monday 30th July. Congratulation to Dan and the rest of the GB Team who held their nerve to bring about some fantastic performances and rightfully earn their place on the podium. Congratulations to Dan’s personal coach, Jeff Brooks, and all of the Boys Competition Squad coaches who have had a hand in helping Dan achieve his Olympic dream. Well done everyone.
